A place to gather, connect, and contribute.
Solid Grounds is a community coffeehouse with a larger purpose: to help strengthen the social fabric of our city by creating a place where people can gather, build relationships, and participate in the life of our community.
We want to use the coffeehouse as a marketplace with a mission—creating opportunities for local and student employment, providing space for locals to share their gifts and creativity, supporting our youth in the arts, academics, and athletics, while offering a safe and welcoming environment.
As part of the larger Springs of Life mission, we believe community flourishing involves more than meeting immediate needs. It also means cultivating relationships, creating opportunities, recognizing the gifts already present in our community, and giving people meaningful ways to contribute.
We’re still learning what that can look like. Our hope is to listen well, learn from our community, and continue finding meaningful ways that Solid Grounds can contribute to the flourishing of Jellico/Gem City.
