There’s a variety of ways to get involved at Springs of Life. We are always looking to add additional small groups to our schedule so come join us and learn to lead. You can also help with GED prep classes, preparing meals, and work projects.
We need employers! Research has shown that working helps people overcome substance abuse and stay sober. It provides income and health benefits, of course, but also can instill meaning and purpose in their lives, which are powerful incentives to stay off drugs. In some cases, work also provides the sense of being part of a team.
We look to help our residents connect with the community, staff and one another. We help our residents find hope and an identity that has purpose. We look to provide our residents with opportunities that empower them to develop meaningful lives.
Springs of Life serves the residents of rural Appalachia that suffer from substance abuse disorder but cannot access treatment due to the lack of insurance or ability to pay for services. These are the individuals who fall between the cracks of the healthcare and treatment industry.
We have many opportunities on how you can join in on our effort in completing our mission. The first is prayer. We constantly need more people going before us and praying for the Lord to bless the work we are doing. The second way is financial support which is the fuel to allow us to keep making a difference. The third way is by volunteering your time. We are constantly looking for more help from willing souls that want to volunteer their time. The last way is by the way of Job Creation. A major part of our program is placing our residents with an employer to allow them to integrate back into society. We need more job opportunities for our residents!
